maxgravitt
I recently installed Mandrake 10, and I am interested in running apt-get to install software and dependencies. Is it possible to run apt-get on Mandrake 10? If so, how can I install it? Has anyone had a positive or negative experience with this? thanks, Max
Gowator
I installed it last night just to see! after updating my urpmi sources.... (see FAQ if you havnt set urpmi up yet) I just urpmi apt (it comes up with a couple of deps... I said yes... it installed ) then I apt-get install apt (figure if I break anything it will be apt) and it works perfectly telling me everything already installed! however wait for some other responses! iphitus
Leave apt get. Mandrake has its own alternative named "urpmi" http://www.mandrakeusers.org/index.php?showtopic=10600
bvc
apt stinks on mandrake and will likely break it (ok actually the end user breaks it)
