fangbite
I've had a fair (ok ok, not that great) amount of experience using mandrake and redhat linux (i prefer mandrake for personal computer, redhat for server) and am at a total loss to what is wrong. I put redhat 9 on an old computer to make it a print server. I want it to share a Brother 1440 printer to all the computers on my network, with most of them being windows.\ (xp or 2000). However, no matter how i work it i can't get any of tehm to recognize the printer. To tell you what i've done: I've told to the print setup to share the printer to all hosts and all users I've told samba to share the file dev/usb/lp0 which is the port the printer is using. Can anyone give me some advice?
