Guest Margo Posted July 2, 2004 Report Share Posted July 2, 2004 but only once :( I installed SWAT - set up my shares for hdb1 (2nd HD) and changed the NETBIOS name to ME and workgroup to WORKGROUP - ( for the win users on the network) rebooted the computer and SMBD won't start, neither will winbindd HELP, what have I stuffed up?? Guest Margo Posted July 2, 2004 Report Share Posted July 2, 2004 I'll havew to get back to you on that. I had to do a low level format as the MBR was hosed and I need at least a dual boot. Is webmin installed by default in Mandrake or is it extra??? btw, I've had the same problem 3 times in a row..sigh probably a SWAT problem. Hopefully, I'll be back in a few days.
