Sherpa
what is the best kernel for a P3 933 mghz and 512 mb of ram?
arctic
I'd say, take the 2.6.6 kernel... stable, hardware-support is okay and it is reasonably fast. Edited June 30, 2004 by arctic
theYinYeti
I had boot & halt problems with kernel 2.6.6. kernel 2.6.7 is much more stable for me.
SoulSe
What we're basically saying is that you can use any x86 kernel :P Anyway, I also use the 2.6.7 vanilla kernels - stable, nice variety of hardware support. A recent security issue exists though, but only if iptables is a big part of what you're doing...
