Guest gmusser
I've just installed v10 with RAID-1 and can't get it to boot up. I keep running into an "EXT2-fs: Unable to read superblock" error message followed by a "kernel panic". I would include the full set of messages here except that they scroll off my screen too quickly to read, let alone write down -- is there a way to pause it? (I can't find any documentation for the most basic of things.) I'm guessing the problem has something to do with the way I set up the RAID. Neither the Mandrake installer nor DiskDrake includes any documentation that mentions RAID, so I had to guess at the setup. Has anyone prepared a FAQ or newbie guide to RAID under DiskDrake? bvc
It seems grub has a better success booting raid. I know nothing other than that. Reinstall in expert mode and choose grub as the bootloader, would be my suggestion, if no one gives a better one.
