GodFlesh
PCI express is at the corner. I would like to know the status of it's support under Linux.

Relic2K
I had to retire my old dualie system, it just up and died on me one day. I upgraded to and MSI K8N Neo 4 with the PCI Express onboard, and a LeadTek Geforce 6800GT PCI Express video card. I also have the AMD 64 3200+ CPU. In windows, the hardware runs okay, but I am experiencing some problems gaming .. lockups crashes. I am just installing MDL 10.2 B2 for AMD 64, and it has been a little rough getting through the installation so far. I did manage to get it installed this afternoon. I have yet to get into X and install the NVidia drivers for the MB. I want to see how much better the speed is and if it will be more stable than bloatware. I will keep you posted. coverup
IBM equips their ThinkCentre series desktops with ATI PCI express cards. ThinkCentre is certified to run RedHat (if the memory serves right, there were problems with sound card reported, video was fine). Check their linux certification site.
