chris z Posted June 12, 2004 Report Share Posted June 12, 2004 try running, from terminal as root............... sndconfig let it search for your sound card, accept the correct device it finds (if it found more than one), click the test button (it will probably be very quiet), then adjust your volume settings with aumix (kicker->multimedia->sound->aumix). save the settings. if aumix isn't there, then use MCC to install it first.
