Znora
Hi! I have been trying to get my hardware working lately. Now it is the network card's turn. Im having an Asus A7V600-X card. At the Asus webpage I found a networkdriver for my card. Wen I read the helpfile for this driver, it told me it only supported the 2.2 and the 2.4 Kernel. As a mdk 10 user, I am using the 2.6.3-4 kernel. I came as far as the compiling in the readme. Is there andy chanse that I can get this working? And do I need it at all. Sadly, I don't have a networkconnection at home, so I can't figure out. by the way: have any of you managed to get the peyverson of the kernel 2.6.3-4 HSF driver? --> www.linuxant.com the installinstuctions can be found at my homepage Info about my Motherboard can be found at Asus info page
SoulSe
I would do a little bit of googling to find out what chipset the LAN adaptor uses and I suspect you will find that there is already support for it in the kernerl which you just need to add in. I've never been a fan of kernel patches, that should be your very last resort. google, google and then google some more ;)
