Guest Scarabanza
I'm running MDK10. When I access 'KDE Control Centre > Peripherals > Mouse', the 'Right Handed' option is selected, but also greyed out. The Left Handed option is greyed out as well. I tried changing the option in kcminputrc under my local .kde directory. This changed the selected option in the control centre, but had no effect on what the mouse buttons actually did. In the hardware setup, I am using the 'Universal > Any PS/2 and Bus mouse' option. I've tried other options, but it seems to make no difference. The mouse is a 3 button Logitech that I've had forever - no wheel, no fancy 'throw it in the air and clap to press button 50'. Any help greatly appreciated. chris z
try using MCC (Mandrake Control Center)->hardware->mouse to change the settings. i think KDE uses it's mouse settings from MDK. Chris
Guest Scarabanza
Thanks for the info Chris, but MCC only gives me the ability to choose a driver and test that the mouse buttons respond. I can't see any options to change the way the mouse buttons actually behave. Anyone have any other ideas? Should I investigate changing the buttons at the X level rather than within KDE? Or would that be a horrid hack?
