mikey_111
Hello, I've been attempting to edit the /etc/devfsd.conf file so that on the "df" command output I have the easier read names like: /dev/hda5 rather than: /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part5 I've read R. Goochs howto on devfs, and man devfsd. But being a newb Its not sinking in. I tried commenting and uncommenting things in the file then restarting devfsd but "df" output does not change. Anybody messed with this? mikey_111

mikey_111
Heres Richard Gooch's FAQ http://www.atnf.csiro.au/people/rgooch/lin...docs/devfs.html I can't seem to find the man pages online, but I'm using mdk10.0 and man pages for the below commands are on the distribution. "man devfsd" DEVFSD(8) "man devfsd.conf" devfsd.conf(5) Thanks bvc for having a look at this. mikey_111
