scannow
I am locked into the KDE desktop wiithout a way to GDU. I have changed the boot confiiguration to a login and at each login it will either reboot to the login screen or login to KDE. When installing I chose all available desktop environments. I am choosing GDU at the loging boot screen. Seems like the perfect circle jerk of a runaround bye the KDE people to me. Also, is it possible to swiitch from KDE to GDU without rebooting? java script:emoticon('')

Ixthusdan
Be sure to use gdm or kdm without auto login. You should then be presented with a choice of environments.
iphitus
Go into Mandrake Control Center, and find DIsplay managers. It should have a traffic light icon. It did last time i checked anyway (9.2). Turn off autologin. Then next time you start it will go into a login screen where you may choose.
