Cornellius
I tried to compile Limewire and it tells me that I need java. THe fact is that I have installed the java RPM... I don't kno what's wrong. Anyone could help ? Thanks !
liquidzoo
Did you follow all of the java installation guidelines? From The Java FAQ: cd /usr/binrm java javac jar ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/bin/java java That way the java executable will be updated and found. You may need to run updatedb (as root) before you compile limewire again.
Cornellius
''rm java javac jar'' This command doesn't work, and I have the ''j2re-1_4_2_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin'' version. Well, my MDK 9.2 is in french, but I'll post the error anyway. rm: ne peut évaluer par lstat() `java': No such file or directory rm: ne peut évaluer par lstat() `javac': No such file or directory rm: ne peut évaluer par lstat() `jar': No such file or directory
fissy
thats not a problem, you can just carry on with the next step (i think)
Cornellius
What should happen with the 3rd command ? Cause I used it and it only did that : [root@localhost bin]# ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_03/bin/java java [root@localhost bin]# I also did that after : [root@localhost bin]# updatedb

liquidzoo
Head to http://kde-look.org Most of their OSX-style icon sets have a limewire icon. There are also a couple of sets that are just limewire icons.

fissy
i uploaded the files as pngs so you should be able to save them as pngs. Stupid board for thinking they're something else... i think any desktop in linux can manage using pngs, so that shouldn't be a problem.
