Hi peeps.

I am newbie in Linux world and I have decided to take couple more steps to get rid of some annoyances on Linux platform so it is more acceptable for me.

First thing first, how to get rid that ugly annoying crooked hand in Mozilla?

You know the one that converts from cursor when you hover over link.

Is it possible to have regular hand or something else?

Thanks in advance.

--edit--

Sorry I forgot to post specs, I am running Mandrake 9 with latest updates on old Athlon 600 Mhz (don't laugh), 512Mb of RAM, etc...

I would like to use Mozilla as defacto browser.

Why?

Don't you think that is stupid?

I can change it in Windows.

If Mozilla developers can change it, why we can't?

How come Netscape has different cursor, more normal and it is based on the same engine?

Is that some of those annoyances they want us to have in order to push us toward Netscape?

Anybody else?

No I don't think thats stupid.

First what have you done to try and change it?

And second if they were really trying to get you to change to netscape why woould they ever update mozilla in the first place. Seams like a lot of work on their part just to get you to change. And third you can change it. Thats why Mozilla is part of the open source market. I would think that if you could find the icon(?) file that changes the cursor then you could find a way to change it to anything you want.

Fourth, what about a different theme? You are even allowed to make those.

And finally. Calm down man, its only a cursor.

hehe, I can't be calmer.

I just have many questions and that cursor annoys the hell out of me.

I tend to use Konqueror just for that reason, even I don't like it.

Yes, I tried different theme but cursor stays.

I will probably end up loading Netscape :(

The thing is, I am using Mac at work and Mozilla is my main browser.

The cursor is fine on both Mac OS9 and Windows, it is only Linux where the cursor is screwed, and that is the system I would like to use.

There has to be a way.

Sorry about my venting, still friends

Someone help!
