  1. Just click "Alt" + "F2" and you will get "Run" command. Type in "konsole" and hit enter.
  2. I have LG 4040B DVD/CD burner (4x) and in RC2 worked great as well as under Suse 9. I'll try this weekend installing final mandrake and I'll post results back but I think it will be fine.
  3. There is Kino http://kino.schirmacher.de/ Main Concept just released preview of Main Actor 5 for Linux http://www.mainconcept.com/mainactor_v5.shtml#linux There is Cinellera http://heroinewarrior.com/index.php3
  4. I've had the same issue but with RC2. Couldn't get it resolved so I figured it must be disk image corrupted or something since all previopus mandrake as well as Rehat and Suse and Gentoo versions worked great on the same machine. Now that final 9.1 is out, I don't have that problem any more but different one where I can't login to KDE at all. Gnome works great, KDE worked great when I installed it but as soon as I rebooted it first time that was it. Strange behaviour and it is not something KDE related since I had same version of KDE on my Gentoo install just before that worked flawless. I've seen another post on this forum with same problem but no solution. Damn! :(
  5. I myself am very noob in Linux, but that is the same thing I run into first. You are right bigjohn, your NTFS is the reason. NTFS is still not very well documented (purposly) and Linux developers are still struggling with NTFS support. The safe method for you would be to go with file explorer and copy all your desired fonts from NTFS partition onto Linux one. From that monet, forget all these techy advices and just go to KDE control center and add fonts but from linux partition.
  6. hehe, I can't be calmer. I just have many questions and that cursor annoys the hell out of me. I tend to use Konqueror just for that reason, even I don't like it. Yes, I tried different theme but cursor stays. I will probably end up loading Netscape :( The thing is, I am using Mac at work and Mozilla is my main browser. The cursor is fine on both Mac OS9 and Windows, it is only Linux where the cursor is screwed, and that is the system I would like to use. There has to be a way. Sorry about my venting, still friends Someone help!
  7. Why? Don't you think that is stupid? I can change it in Windows. If Mozilla developers can change it, why we can't? How come Netscape has different cursor, more normal and it is based on the same engine? Is that some of those annoyances they want us to have in order to push us toward Netscape? Anybody else?
  8. Hi peeps. I am newbie in Linux world and I have decided to take couple more steps to get rid of some annoyances on Linux platform so it is more acceptable for me. First thing first, how to get rid that ugly annoying crooked hand in Mozilla? You know the one that converts from cursor when you hover over link. Is it possible to have regular hand or something else? Thanks in advance. --edit-- Sorry I forgot to post specs, I am running Mandrake 9 with latest updates on old Athlon 600 Mhz (don't laugh), 512Mb of RAM, etc... I would like to use Mozilla as defacto browser.
