andromedakun Posted April 25, 2004 Report Share Posted April 25, 2004 Hello there, I installed Mandrake Linux 10 friday, and now I wanted to use my scanner on it. When I checked in hardware config to add a scanner, it said that my scanner wasn't supported by the version of Mandrake. So I checked on the site, and saw that kernel 2.3.6-7 mdk supported it (I had 2.3.6-4 md) so I downloaded the kernel and installed it (took me a whole day ) but now, after booting to the new kernel (checked with uname -r) it still says that the scanner isn't supported by that version of Mandrake.
