Guest iomari
I have all the 10 CE files on my hard drive ready for a hd install. I also included the contrib folder in the top directory equal to the mandrake folder. How can I alter the hdlist file so that when I'm installing, I have access to all the files both in the original 10CE and the extra 3 gig of contrib? I want this so I can save my final package selection to floppy for future installation using the same installation files. Thanks Iomari
mtweidmann
I'm not 100% certain but I think this should work. There is a file called "hdlists" which lists all the hdlist.cz files the installer should use, you'll have to add an entry to it. The file can be found in: /Mandrake/current/i586/Mandrake/base/ and looks something like: hdlist.cz Mandrake/RPMS Installation CDhdlist.src.cz ../SRPMS Installation SRPMS hdlist2.cz Mandrake/RPMS2 Contrib hdlist2.src.cz ../contrib/SRPMS/ Contrib SRPMS hdlist3.cz Mandrake/RPMS3 Jpackage hdlist3.src.cz ../contrib/jpackage/SRPMS/ Jpackage SRPMS All of the listed hdlist*.cz files were in the same directory, so I would copy the file for Contribs there. Then just specify the path and see if it works. Maybe somehting like: hdlist_contrib.cz ../../contrib/RPMS/ Edited March 22, 2004 by mtweidmann
