Guest LinuxExplorer
Is anyone familiar with an economical solution to load balancing? I might go with a hardware router but they're almost ten times the price of the current run of the mill decent router coming in at around $400. Any suggestions on a particular model? Is there any sort of software any of you have used to accomplish this on a p.c. with maybe more NICs? Basically any input on load balancing with two broadband connections is appreciated. johnnyv
so let me get this. You have 2 broadband connections which you want to feed to your users. Load balancing between 2 conections i don't know, there must be some info somewhere in an advanced routing howto surely this type of thing must be possible under linux. you would probably need some modest gateway/firewall/proxy machine with 3 nic's 1 nic for the switch hub, and 1 each for the connections.
