kmc77
I may be making myself look stupid here, but I'm having trouble with Legends. Here's the story so far. Downloaded and installed without any problems. I had a hard time figuring out how to run it (I'm still getting used to working in terminals), but after a little work I got it started and it ran fine. The game seems pretty nice. Problem is, I can't get a server list. Nothing shows up. Have I done something wrong? For now, I'm just running around an empty map. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. Referring to my comment about working in terminals - Could someone please explain how I can create some kind of launcher on my desktop, so that I don't always have to go through a big process to get the game going. kmc77
Never mind. After 3 days of trying to find a stever, I decided to host one myself. I started a game and let it set. 30 min later someone joined. An hour later, It was still just us two. I guess there's just no one playing. Ghil Vertefeuille
did you do Query master?
kmc77
Yes. Unless there is a way to locate other servers, I'm going to remove this game. Not very fun unless there are other people to shoot at
VeeDubb
I haven't played in a few weeks, but last time I was on there were many servers with many players. If you can't find any servers at all, there's something else going on.
kmc77
The guy that found mine said that I was the only person he found all day. I'm sure there's something wrong, but can't figure out what. Oh well, I guess I'll try another game.
VeeDubb
Perhaps you are not using the latest version? If you were using an old release, you would only see other people that were using the same release. Check for an update or later version. Michel
I played this game mayself .. They updated the game lately and know I can't find the servers anymore. Indeed, sometimes there are not much people. But othe times it's crowded. A server with 12 players on it or so... I suppose the game has to get known a little bit more, but there are enough players and it isn't so easy :). You also have to open up your outgoing ports enough. The first time I played it I didn't see all the servers because of this. I hope it didn't change. I have the following in /etc/shorewall/rules: #for legends ACCEPT fw net udp 28001,28002,48491,20451,28010,28015,50740
VeeDubb
Good point, I didn't think about closed ports. I run my linux box like a whore house, anybody can get in and make a mess.
kmc77
Thanks for the reccomendations. I hadn't thought of that either. I'll check it out when I get back to my Linux machine.
