kmack
Haven't had a need until now, and realized I don't have a clue about faxing in Mandrake. What are others using and recommending? I know about efax, but I would like a nice simple gui interface that I can use without hitting man pages each time I need to send or receive a fax. DragonMage
I emailed you the answer for your question, but just in case other people are curious.. here is what I do to fax using kdeprintfax front end with efax backend. 1. Set up kdeprintfax to use efax. 2. Set up all applications to print using kprinter software. (kde appsuse kprinter automatically) 3. Now, when you print, kprinter will come out, then you can pick whatprinter you are going to use. In this case, you choose send to fax, thenpress print. 4. The kdeprintfax dialog should come out, all you have to do is add thephone number and the name of the adressee. Press Send Fax, and ifeverything works fine (the modem and everything), you should hear thewonderful tone of the modem dialing up and fax sending. :) Hope it helps.
