cardassianscot
I have been having trouble getting my usb speedtouch adsl modem to work with MDK 10.0 (all beta versions and RC). Eventually I appear to have found the problem, it seems to be the new kernel. I installed a fresh 9.2 install (with my modem working) and then upgraded to 10.0 RC rather than doing a fresh install, which I usually do. My usb modem will not work now, however if I choose to boot into old_linux then it all works. I therefore conclude that the kernel is the problem. Does anyone now how to get the speedtouch adsl usb modem working with the 10.0 kernel? Or at least have some suggestions as to some things to try? Ixthusdan
Perhaps recompile the kernel, and make note of the flags? Mandrake will, no doubt, have it functioning for the final. It's a usb issue. I'm not much help at compiling kernels since I have not really done a good one yet. (I did with gentoo, but that wasn't really me doing it, was it!) cardassianscot
Will recompiling the kernel help? If so does anyone know which flags to set, I would have no idea. Also, can anyone tell me how to report this to bugzilla. Should I report a kernel problem or a problem with the speedtouch package? Thanks
GodFlesh
I'm not sure the drivers of your modem are out yet for 2.6 kernel. Check the project homepage and tell us !
