liquidzoo
I found this out the other day as I was reinstalling Mandrake. I have a usb keyboard that I have never been able to get working in a Mandrake install. Turns out the solution was way easier than I thought. When you boot to the cd, when you're given the option of pressing <enter> to install or upgrade, or press <F1> for more options, press F1 Normally, if you're going to do the expert install, you would type: linux expert noauto But, as I quickly found out the other day, that won't load ANY usb devices at all. Pressing <enter> to load the standard install didn't work either, I would have either mouse or keyboard, but not both (mouse is plugged into the keyboard) As I found out, though, if you simply type: linux expert at the more options screen, it will load the USB devices; thus giving me access to use both my keyboard and my mouse throughout the installation process. I hope this helps someone else out there. I didn't know it before. Just goes to show ya, you are always learning something new, no matter how long you've used Linux.
