Did you get this to appear at the end of compilation: make[2]: *** [3rdparty/prism54/islpci_mgt.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [3rdparty/prism54] Error 2 make: *** [3rdparty] Error 2 ? I tried disabling some of those 3rd party additions in the xconfig utility but no go. I don't have that much of a clue as to what I'm doing, and if I'm not mistaken the kernel compilation thing in the FAQ either is outdated or my system is somehow different. I don't know. It seems like I'm doing everything just fine but... Also, what exact steps did you take? This thing seems to hate me or something...!
