Peppercorn
I am after an analogue video capture program. I just hav'nt found anything that does the job well yet. I have a Winfast 2000XP Capture card which does a great job for the price but if I want to capture at full resolution in Mandrake I am getting pretty poor results. I have tried Mythtv which captures really good, but you can't do much with what you capture because the format is so weird. I have also tried xawdecode which isn't bad but for some reason the audio is just terrible regardless of what settings I use. Can someone enlighten me as to any other progs out there that may exist?? I basically want to capture video to edit and/or make DVD's or Svcd's Thanks Edited February 7, 2004 by Peppercorn
aRTee
Have you tried mencoder? It's part of the mplayer software, I've used it with quite nice results. On the other hand, I don't know your hardware, so I don't have a clue if it will work nicely with that..
Peppercorn
No I hav'nt tried mencoder. What is it???? My hardware is an Nvidia AGP Geforce 4 mx440 Amd 2600xp 512 ram I'll look into mencoder anyway and find out what it is about. It sounds like an encoder, and if so, what do you capture with?
