Pocatello
I currently running mandrake 9.1. I have a dlink gateway model di-711 and a dlink dwl-120 usb card. I downloaded the at76c503a driver. The installation went quite well, to my surprise. I edited my cfcfg-wlan0 file like this DEVICE=wlan0 BOOTPROTO=static IPADDR=192.168.0.104 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 NETWORK=192.168.0.0 BROADCAST=192.168.1.255 ONBOOT=yes WIRELESS=yes WIRELESS_MODE=Managed WIRELESS_ESSID=default WIRELESS_ENC_KEY=xxx_key_xxxx I typed service network restart, with no error. I can ping my gateway 192.168.0.1 all day long without any packet loss. But I can't connect to the internet. I went into Mandrake Control Center -> Network Internet and I see that I'm not connected to the internet. I clicked the connect button, that didn't work either. Now I'm stumped. Any idea would be appreciated.
Gowator
try this route add default gw 192.168.0.1 It should work, if it does post back well make it permanant... edits, I just noticed its a WLAN IF you also have a wired netowrk then first remove the default route type route then if it already has a default through the wired route del default then continue the above Edited February 6, 2004 by Gowator
