Kieth Posted January 31, 2004 Report Share Posted January 31, 2004 With your help, I was able to get my ethernet modem (LAN) connected. Only 1 problem, it doesn't stay connected. After just a couple of minutes, "looses" contact with the internet. It doesn't seem to be the ISP because I did not have the problem with Windows98. In terminal, I type adsl-start. After a moment it states that I'm connected. Then after a couple of minutes, I can no longer load any pages. In terminal I type adsl-status, and it states that I am still connected. Below is some file information. Please don't post the same question twice I and many others try and make sure that everyone gets answered but it makes it hard when the same question is somewhere twice!!! I don't mind giving my time to help people in fact I enjoy it but I feel a bit peeved if I find I just spent time answered a question thats already answered elsewhere.
