jhipkiss
Hi, I've recently installed Mandrake 9.2 and chose just to have KDE added at install. Everything worked fine. I since decided to try out GNOME and so installed the package from the CDs, no problem! However, while it shows as being installed, the menus haven't changed and when I get the choice at login to go for KDE or ICE or GNOME, GNOME is missing! Any ideas? bvc
just guess, and I'm on win rt now, but someone do as root; urpmf /etc/X11/wmsession.d/GNOME or find the rt path to that wmsession.d and do the above. Whatever pkg has that GNOME file in it is the one you need installed. Do; rpm -qa | grep gnome rpm -qa | grep gnome2 to find out what gnome pkgs are installed.
