Steve Scrimpshire
I just found this utility on the mirrors (using Cooker...don't know if it is in 9.2): [root@localhost omar]# urpmi uptimed To satisfy dependencies, the following packages are going to be installed (0 MB): libuptimed0-0.3.1-2mdk.i586 uptimed-0.3.1-2mdk.i586 Is this OK? (Y/n) ftp://ftp.belnet.be/packages/mandrake-devel/cooker/cooker/Mandrake/RPMS2/uptimed-0.3.1-2mdk.i586.rpm ftp://ftp.belnet.be/packages/mandrake-devel/cooker/cooker/Mandrake/RPMS2/libuptimed0-0.3.1-2mdk.i586.rpm installing /var/cache/urpmi/rpms/uptimed-0.3.1-2mdk.i586.rpm /var/cache/urpmi/rpms/libuptimed0-0.3.1-2mdk.i586.rpm Preparing... ################################################## 1:libuptimed0 ################################################## 2:uptimed ################################################## The very first time you run it, you need to run it with the -b option to create the first boot record: uptimed -b The rpm should install the init scripts required to run it at each successive boot after that.
