Lord Kenneth
I can get wlan0 (my wireless USB dwl-120) to work if I go into terminal and type in iwconfig wlan0 mode managed iwconfig wlan0 essid default Here's what my icfg-wlan0 file looks like: DEVICE=wlan0 BOOTPROTO=dhcp ONBOOT=yes MII_NOT_SUPPORTED=yes NEEDHOSTNAME=yes WIRELESS_MODE=managed WIRELESS_ESSID=default Also, how do I get it so it doesn't take so long to try to detect eth0 or wlan0 on bootup? If it can't find a connection it waits forever... :(
Lord Kenneth
Oh yeah, and when I check it after booting up to see what iwconfig says, it tells me it is not in managed and essid is not default, why is that?
Lord Kenneth
Hmm, the problem is it's not being set to managed mode and essid isn't being changed to default. If I go into terminal and type in "iwconfig wlan0 mode managed essid any" it works fine.
