aRTee
As the titel says, I had a conflict on my usb2. Borrowed a drive from a colleague, which gave me 1MB/s speeds... No fun. With 2.6 a similar thing happened, and I tried also: 9.1, 9.2 stock kernel and 9.2 2.4.23-22mdk kernel (or whatever is closest -- it's the one I run normally). Then I mounted by hand, and voila: 20MB/s speeds with bursts up to 55MB. Hope this info is useful to someone. More info on my website: http://www.mandrake.tips.4.free.fr/review92.html Note: I still have supermount switched on, I like it for cdrom reading and the like.. And yes, I filed a bugreport.
