Guest Dieter.Rethmeyer
Hello, I tried to set up dial on demand for my ISDN card in Mandrake 9. But it does not work because the defaultroute is not set to ippp0. There is also a network card in my PC (disabled in the configuration menu) and a modem connected to a serial port (for fax sending and receiving, the modem has a fax memory). When I set the defaultroute to ippp0 manually on the command line, everything works fine. But after each hangup the defaultroute is automatically deleted. I tried to set the defaultroute in /etc/ppp/ip-up.local and /etc/ppp/ip-down.local but the latter seems to be without any effect. What is wrong in my configuration and is needed to enable dial on demand over ISDN?
Guest Dieter.Rethmeyer
I am a step further now: Setting the default route to ippp0 after disconnecting now works. But still I receive timeouts in my browser when the connection is brought down by the connection timer and then I click on a link.
