Guest vs77
I wanted to know which was the best site for urpmi sources. I am currently using ftp://mirrors.secsup.org. But of late I get a lot or error messeages saying the package had bad signatures and installation failed
liquidzoo
Generally the best sources for urpmi are ones that are close to you and ones that are fast. Even though I live in the states, most of my urpmi sources are from the club-internet.fr site in France. It's the closest to Mandrakes headquarters, so it's one of the first to get the new updates. It's generally a personal preference. As for the bad signatures...if it's a plf rpm that you're trying there is a gpg key that you can import (instructions can be found at their website: http://plf.zarb.org ) that will stop the bad signatures error. Guest vs77
If it were just a case of bad signatures it would have been ok, Cause I used to have that problem in the past. But now I am not even able to install anyof the programs. It just terminates. Aslo as the second reply pointed out I got the md5 ... error. I got these errors even if I manually d/l the files and tried the installation. That's why I was wondering if there was another site I could get the rpm's off of?
