I've entered all the right information that's required in the settings, but still, when I try to get connected it says that the server authentification failed 'cause it says it's the wrong password.... I really don't know what's going on because it IS the right password that I'm entering. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot! BobGuy© Posted January 16, 2004 Report Share Posted January 16, 2004 I've entered all the right information that's required in the settings Not really, otherwise the server would not return 'server authentification failed' When the password is correct, then most likely its your login name thats incorrect. This depends on how your isp has their login setup for email, example: login: bob OR login: bob@home.net It will be only one of these. On both SMTP and POP3 That was my inital problem getting setup to send and recieve email, after the change kmail has worked fine.
