fissy
i thought: you could run ethernet cables for about 300m? 802.11a is also 55MB, with much shorter range though i'd say get some nice cat6 cable and start digging :)

Michel
I'm waiting for UWB, finally something good( MAYBE replacing 802 in rteh future, but 802 evolves too :)??). I think it uses CDM. I hope it's right. Anyway it is much more reliable. It's uses by the army I think (CDM) ... It looks like noise, only witht he right combination of bytes you can pick it up. Only the distance I see... can't really replace 802 indeed then. I hope something with this reliability comes up and the same or greater distance than 802. There is maybe hope, but it isn't teh standard: http://www.techworld.com/news/index.cfm?fu...news&NewsID=577 little overview. It also mentiones something better than UWB. Hopefully UWB will be available soon. And about WPA...the new wireless security standard. I believe is was already cracked or so ..but I have to check on that again. To be sure, make a VPN. http://www.ultrawidebandplanet.com/product...1363581,00.html Edited January 8, 2004 by Michel
