    mozilla disappears

    When I download from update in MCC and I was wondering if that will problem for theme if I want to change something new from site? Since I tried to click to get new theme but it didn't reply and I go by myself to get the theme from site and it will not let me download... Is there something else I can get it??

  6. I am using Mandrake 10.1 and I see Mandrake 10.0 do have Firefox 1.0 software and Will that be problem if I download Firefox 1.0 from 10.0 source?? Let me know and thanks!
  7. Wow, simple job! Many thanks! One more question, Since I learned from feedback such as: remove folder by rm -rf /usr... whatever create folder by mkdir /.... whatever... How do you know the terminal type in root, when I click "help" it didn't show much help??
  8. When i create the folder in /usr/lib/mozzilla by "mkdir" and realized I don't want that folder in /usr/lib/.... and wanted to remove it off... I tried to use manual by click to remove it... but it said: Access denied to /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-0.10.1/components.ini Is there possible to do that?? Thanks!

    I clicked the link this: http://carroll.cac.psu.edu/pub/linux/distr...2mdk.noarch.rpm after I click install it.... it appeared: Some package requested cannot be installed: BitTornado-0.3.8-2mdk.noarch (due to unsatisfied python-base[>= 2.4]) do you agree ? Seems that I need to add some package before Bittorando??

    I clicked one of your link to get Bittorando, but my screen showed: Some package requested cannot be installed: BitTornado-0.3.8-2mdk.noarch (due to unsatisfied python-base[>= 2.4]) do you agree ?     Hey, still not success... I decide to remove BitTorrent 3.9.1 then re do with install from Easy Urpmi, Bittorrent 3.4.2.... Guess nothing work.... Wait a minute, I found: usr/share/man/man1/bittorrent-downloader.1.bz2 /usr/share/man/man1/bittorrent-multi-downloader.1.bz2 /usr/share/doc/bittorrent-3.4.2 /usr/share/doc/bittorrent-3.4.2/LICENSE.txt /usr/share/doc/bittorrent-3.4.2/README.txt /usr/share/doc/bittorrent-3.4.2/credits.txt /usr/share/mimelnk/application/x-bittorrent.desktop /usr/share/mime/application/x-bittorrent.xml I noticed bittorent-downloader.1.bz2, do I need to type in root for extract it?? If so, what should I type?? tar xvf??

    I open a console, log in as root and type: urpmi bittornado). But it said no package named bittorando??? :unsure: Question for you, I saw Qnext in Java.com and it is P2p.... Seems real new???

    I downloaded BitTorrent 3.9.1, but I can't find the application to open up?? I assume that BitTorrent is best as I looked around... slocated BitTorrent, and got /usr/share/pixmaps/BitTorrent But I don't see any application? I tried to click to open up?? I didn't know LimeWire do have for Linux?? :unsure: David

    Hi, you brought to my attention since I download from easyurpmi and it works pretty cool so far... But mentioned about not the latest version. My question, If I can get any program from easyurpmi then go to website to get upgrade it?? For example, I downloaded mozilla-firefox from easyurpmi then can I go to Mozilla.org to find upgrade from there and downloaded for upgrade?? I think download from easyurpmi would be much easier!!! but bit lagging the latest version...

    Hey man thanks for tip about su and updatedb. I learned new and simple! :P One more, can you help me to get right MPLayer application so I can be able to to control (File, Edit, View, etc...) Instead for me to right click to look for "Open With" ?? At same time, I need select right applicaton for MPLayer to put in MenuDrake...
  18. Many thanks devries, for easy download from http://www.mandrakeclub.nl/sources/officia...01mcnl.i586.rpm, I downloaded and installed j2re-1.5.0-2.101mcnl.i586.rpm.... However, my mozilla-firefox has popped up yellow " Install Missing Plugins" So, I click to install Java Environment Null. and installed but nothing happened?? I closed and reopen the Firefox... the yellow popped out with Install Missing Plugins, still there.. Also, http://java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp, to test the verficiation and it should showed coffee cup means successful... But mine showed unsuccess?? Any clue?
  19. Sorry, I am using Mandrake 10.1 too... Thanks for reply pbpersson, I just though of current version as possible since when I went to Java Website. The website have showed "verfication software on the right side" (http://www.java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp). I was unable to see the coffee cup which was supposed to be... RPMDrake, would be nice, but which one??

    Heather1113, You were right, most applications are in /usr/bin. Strange, when I click mplayer, it didn't reply HOWEVER, when I right click on movie, to OPEN WITH... I choice Mplayer and it works... I was wondering how can i control with stop, play, pause and etc....? which application?? Phpersoon, you use different than mplayer?? gmplayer? I try to run with command, but didn't recogized it.... Hope I didn't messed up...

    Same thing with me, I installed from RPMDrake (mplayer-1.0.0pre6.7plf but it disappeared after the installation said "installation is completed". But where are they? BUT I found mplayer folder in /usr/lib, but it doesn't have application in the folder... I am unable to find where mplayer application... You may try to check yours... Guess somebody can help to find where is the application??

  23. I am student and using online and I found that Mozilla-FireFox showed unable to show the browser version and also the browser version is 5. I tried to get update from RPMDrake, but apparently they don't have update above 6.2 that the online required the version to be above 6.2... Is there something I can get download to upgrade it?? Which mdk?? Thanks!
  24. I see Java's website that showed current Java 1.5, and So, I see there is several different version for Java from RPMDrake.... I was not sure which one is current version??
