  6. Not sure - 78% of what...  95% of what...?

On your shutdown prob, make sure you have set Configure your Desktop/System/Login Manager/Users tab correctly.

The 78% is working for me on 2006 beta 3 and rest have a few bug, things not working on my system can`t playing music(don`t see any of Hardware on my system and 95% is working for me on 2006 beta 4,the one problem is shutdown so I can restart again.

    But I try Configure my Desktop/System/Login Manager/Users

    Thanx Kristi

  7. Well before I installed 2006 beta3 it was working only 78% on my system,now I installed 2006 beta 4 it works 95%.

What is not working right is when I go to KDE CONTROL MODULE and go shutdown.I see Allow shutdown Local NOBODY,change to everybody and click on APPLY it will work few times but later day I return the same problem again,I can not use restart my system.

I have two HD one HD is win98 and the other HD is winXPpro with 2006 beta 4,so I like to restart,I can`t so again I have to go to shutdown........

How can I solve the problem?

  8. /me gives his pentium 2 server a kick.

not a single replaced component in that thing :) original hard drive and all.

my acer laptop is, imho, faring pretty well, it's been used heavily for a year and a half now, and still is operating without problems, havnt had to take it in for any repairs. Only problem is some physical wear incurred from use.

I read that INTEL will take AMD over next year so what can you tell me about it?

  9. I just browse to http://www.newegg.com and saw an Acer Turion 64 (basically mobile Athlon 64 with lower speed grade) for under US$1000. I will be surprised if it is not Linux compatible since Acer releases several laptop models with Linux preinstalled in Indonesia.

Dammit, this laptop makes me miss the US more and more.

Well which one is the question acer or asus

  10. I think I don't understand a word what you're saying

Do you mean it's hot = temperature or hot = really cool laptop ?

Anyway, I wouldn't get a Toshiba, IMHO they're only good for pure business use, or you need to go with the Quosimo line and then you'll have serious trouble getting all the gadgets working under Linux.

Sinon t'explique en français et je pourrais t'aider.  ;)

But if you saying so don`t get it ,ok I listen to you.

    SoulSe,

    You right

I`m saying may the toshiba is hot stolen? B)
