Why dont you try Right clicking the Icon,
Go to the properties,
The to the Application tab,
Look at the command, It probably says "soundwrapper xmms"
Try removing the "soundwrapper"
See if that helps.

I used the PLF rpms aand also has some horrific problems.
I figured out I needed SDL Quake.
Thats what I am using now and it works great!!
You could try installing using this http://icculus.org/quake2/installers/iccul...ake2-cdless.run
This also worked for me.
Hope this helps.

Well, I made the changes but it did not work.
How can I tell exactly whats going on when I launch an opengl program?
-
I have installed the drivers form the RPMs on clubmandrake.
I get the nvidia splashscreen prior to the logon.
Everything seems to be installed properly however when ever I launch a program that requires opengl x seems to die and I get kicked back to the login.
Here is my xorg.config:

Do you have an nForce motherboard with onboard sound and network?
If so it could be a driver issue.
It happened to me when I installed MDK 10.1.
There was some sort of conflict with the sound and network.
I got the same error msg.
I had an extra network card laying around, installed it and overcame the issue.

I have modified my fstab file to the following.

What Am I doing wrong.
Also is there any reference on the net that explanes the fstab in detail with examples.

Does anyone know how to sync the Palm OS to the Yahoo calender?
Yahoo offers tools to do this under windows and mac but not linux.
Any help would be appreciated.
