New mandrakelinux-kde-config-file-10.2_3.4.0-1.mdk10.2.thac.noarch.rpm with Splash-Screen KDE 3.4-2 pour MDK added instead of mandrakes galaxy splash with penguin from hell.

I will add this splash as standard in my kde-3.4.0 rpm.

Are you sure you dont have any old kde rpms installed?

kate are in kdebase-kate rpm is it really installed?

Now is new kdepim and smb4k really available for 10.1 Claudio was abit hasty in announcing it :)

A lot happened yesterday José made new kdebase and kdepim to 10.2 and Claudio compiled all new stuff for 10.1 and of course did i have a computer free day. so im updating mirrors today. All avilable now both in 10.2 and 10.1. /Torbjörn Turpeinen (Thac)

i must say that even if kde-3.4.0 i new and has a few bugs compared to 3.3.2. its still worth the upgrade because of all the new features and most of all the speed increase. /Torbjörn Turpeinen (Thac)

Im running kde-3.4.0 in mandrake-10.2 now and i did upgrade. building new version now applying patches.

silver memebership will get you access to download powrpack versions of mandrake long before it is available to buy. and at the moment mdk10.2rc1 dvd = pre 10.2 powerpack dvd i have level equal to silver level. you will also get access to mandrekeclubs rpm databse that contains all commersial rpms. + more. /Torbjörn Turpeinen (Thac)

Tou must be aware the the process to upgrade 10.1 to kde-3.4.0 is not an easy one. it requires upgrading a lot of other stuff. like xorg,Mesa,alsa,jackit .. and the is the new xgd based menus system that also needs upgrading. The upgradin for 10.2 will be much easier since in 10.2 most of the needed dependencys is already there. /Torbjörn Turpeinen (Thac)

once again ceck the required urpmi repositorys. you must have 5 of them 1.mandrake main 2.mandrake contrib 3. plf 10.1 free 4. plf non-free 5. thacs rpm if not there will be failed dependencys and yes kde-3.4.0 requires xorg-6.8.2
