Try the following address http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/. I just got slmodemd-2.9.11.20051101.tar.gz and compiled as per instructions in the readme. It works fine for me.

You can try MrPostman. It's worked for me for a few months now on Mandrake9.2, and you can configure hotmail, yahoo and mail accounts. You can get MrPost man from mrpostman.sourceforge.net :D
