Hello, I downloaded a rpm from PLF which I presume is the latest Quake 3 point release, but now I am stuck as to how I actually install Quake 3 on the system? I am running Mandrake10CE. Thanks

AussieJohn it may well be a mainboard problem as I have just had a new one recently installed, but I was hoping it was a Mandrake 10 CE problem. I am waiting for the official CD's. In the meantime I am enjoying the lovely desktop even if it is crashing randomly :(

This is just a quick question. How do I save the game? I have set up the save path as ~/save yet when I try to save within the game it just gives me the message "Unable to save game", which I am then presented with the option either to accept or cancel. I've looked on the net but I can't find any answer. [moved from Software by spinynorman]

When I run a movie (whether it be DVD, DivX, MPG) using Totem or MPlayer, I always get this weird colour problem throughout. It is like the picture is totally in black and white save for a little tinge of blue. Possibly it's like the hue is out of wack. Any suggestions on how to counter this problem? Thanks in advance. I have a NVidia Geforce 4 TI4200 if that is any help.

Hello, I have a strange problem which has occured to the "Sans" and "Serif" fonts under Mandrake 10 CE. For some reason there is a huge gap between the characters. I think this occured once I installed the 100dpi set of fonts for X. Uninstalling them has done nothing to fix the problem. Here is an example of the problem included in the thumbnail. I would appreciate any help! Thanks

I have the same problem :( I got many lock ups during the installation phase, but instalilng it with less packages allowed me to get by. But now I have problems in general, random lock ups etc. The only option is to reboot and then even when I force a file system integrity check it usually locks up there. This is a shame because I really like this version of Mandrake (10 Community Release). I've ordered the official version and hopefully this will fix it but I'm doubtful. My system Athlon XP 2200 512mb DDR Ram Nvidia Geforce 4 TI4200 200 GB Western Digital SB Audigy Please if anyone has a remedy I would love to hear it. Mandrake 10 worked fine on my old box (it just ran really slow). And yes my mouse is already connected to PS/2.
