Geez, some people change desktop themes more often than underwear :P
Next month I'll posting the same ol' desktop which I had on warty 4.10 but now on Hoary 5.04, with some changes.
-
Perhaps this can help you on how to change cursor: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=14906

Just installed ubunu 5.04, it's awesome. Alot of annoying stuff have been fixed from 4.10 to 5.04.
Hats off!
The only negative thing is you can't configure the menu-bar...well yes you can if you know how to write/change .desktop files and I don't :P. I even tried two alpha released bar editor but the messed up my menu-bar big time.
Other than that it works with big satifaction!!!

In addition to what Ipitus said. For those who like to learn painting programs: Get familiar with the Layer options. It's your best friend!
-
A new Paint Program is finding its way to Linux. Pixel32. know that it's still a beta version. But worthy to get a closer eye on.

As I see it. Nero Linux is a "test product" to see if it can sell. It's understandable that they havn't added all the features there is from Nero win, it would be "waste" of work if noone is interested in their Linux Product and how many downloads there is. So as I see it it's test product. But again I could be wrong, just specualation I made.

First of all, if it's possible go out and support games made for Linux. The more people buy and play games to Linux the greater is the chance that more Games get Linux supported. :deal:
Eventually take a look at MandrakeUsers.org Game List: Click me.
There's some Emulators out there so it's possible to run Non-Linux games on Linux. Though not all Non-Linux Games run well on the emulators, but most popular games does.
NOTE: Technical Problems with the Emulators shall be posted in our Emulation Forum and not in Games Forum.
Read what have been updated:

NOTE! Some of the applications that are list here aren't Emulators like wine and cedega, but in lack of better terms and fact that newbies will properly look for words like emulator I find it fair to put it in this thread.

Now I've played it for awhile (the full version). It's quiet good. My favorite thing to do is setting fire to the marching brass band then scared the elephants so they rampaging through the crowd of people :D
Another thing to do is walking down the street in trench Coat and blow the head off a police man with a shot gun, thereafter pee on his corpse
But my most favorite scene is where you have to visit your uncle who's a cult leader for some christian religious sect and his compound is surrounded by special forces with heavy armory, tanks and MPVs
I love to be mean

Woot !!! It's lightning fast!

It's very similiar to K3b at the moment, but if they updating nero Linux as they updating the Nero windows I'm sure we'll get a very cool CD/DVD burner in the near future.
Also it's great for those people using Gnome dekstop (or other) who won't install KDE stuff on their computers
I don't think the look is that bad:
-
In the folder where you install pixel32 there is an uninstall script.
-
Well, what I did. Unzip it and click the program with the mouse. Then an installation wizard guide you. It ask where to install it. It actual works like a win program. One click and it installs.
-
Ok, that just what I want to know :)
I just had to ask, I'm collecting knowledge

I don't know much of Urmpi but is there command like this apt?
Eg:
apt-get install cvs build-essential bison flex-old libasound2-dev x-window-system-dev libpng12-dev libjpeg62-dev libfreetype6-dev libxrender-dev libttf2 libttf-dev libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-ttf2.0-dev libsdl-net1.2-dev libsdl-gfx1.2-dev msttcorefonts libfontconfig1-dev

I saw someone posted it at Ubuntu forums. So I just passed the info to MUB :)
But impressive that the Pixel32 cover all these platforms: DOS, Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP, Linux, BeOS/Zeta, Mac OS X, MorphOS, QNX and Solaris
-
I've tried Pixel32. Sure it lacks of some cool gimp stuff, but I'm sure they do something with it in futher release. On the plus side, it's much easier to use than gimp. Nice and easy gui, easy to find the stuff.

:D X-ray!
Would be cool if a picture of the M$-logo was within tux stomach
I'm installing ubuntu [solved]
in Other Linux and Unix Distributions

I way to avoid this is to have all the username displayed, then you can doubleclick your username and thereafter write your password. Though I've never wrote password in the wrong place....must be in a hurry situation
