  1. Thank you for the help. I put your code into my web page, but it didn't change anything. Then, while goofing around with it, I noticed something. My web page is http://kbloyd.interfree.it. The first page is called index.html. If I put in the address without index.html, then the URL doesn't change when I go from page to page. But if I first put http://kbloyd.interfree.it/index.html in the URL, then everytime I change page, the URL changes. Is this "normal"? Thanks.

  2. On my web site, when I cliick on a link, the new page appears, but the URL in the browser address "box" doesn't change. What do I have to do to have the URL change in the browser everytime the web page changes? For example, with http://www.mandrakeusers.org, when a new link is pushed, the URL always changes. While I am writing this message, the URL shown is http://mandrakeusers.org/index.php?act=Post&CODE=00&f=31.

    This is one of the links I have on my web site.

    <a href="http://kbloyd.interfree.it/History-of-church.html"><img

  3. Recently I upgraded all the files/programs and now when I start Mandrake, I get the message "During the previous startup, KNotify crashed whil instantiating KNotify. Do you want to try again or disable aRts sound output?" I then push the "Try again" button" and all goes well. Also, along with that window, I get the window stating that a program crashed. Any ideas as what I should do? Thanks.

  4. The first part of my html source is:

    <html>

    <head>

    <title>Bloyd's web page</title>

    <meta http-equiv="content-type"

    content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">

    <meta name="author" content="Kieth A. Bloyd">

  5. scoopy, I found the problem you mentioned in the "Document Source". When I'm on my web site, I look at the "Document Source", but how do I correct it? Where on my computer is this file? It isn't in the html source of my web page, so I do not know where to find it.

  6. I made up my web site, but in Konqueror I can't see it. I get an error, which is:

    Error: node : TypeError: Undefined value.

    In Mozilla and Opera, there is no problem. Would someone mind looking at it to tell me what I did wrong? I made it using Mozilla Composer, in the graphic mode, with slight changes in html that I learned from the web sites you recommended to me on web designing.

    The web site is: http://kbloyd.interfree.it

    Thanks,

    Kieth

  7. Thanks for the link. I looked at it, so now I can try and learn from it. Just another question, though. I use Mozilla Composer to do my web page. It is all graphics. Is there a tutorial that teaches how to do it that way? Actually I looked for something before I posted my original question, but had no luck.

    Thanks,

    Kieth

  8. On my web site, I would like to be able to add a link to download a file (.txt). How do I do it? The link I added, but it cannot find the file! I guess the problem is, is that I do not know where to put my .txt file. Do I have to have another .html page, and put it on that somehow?

    Another question, I would also like to have thumbnail pictures on my site, but then have the possibility to click on them and have a larger picture load. Once again, how do I do it? Where do I put the pictures, and how do I make the link?

    Thanks,

    Kieth

  9. If you are just referring to regular applications, such as kwrite, etc., they will be in you menu file (just like in Windows - right off your desk top). What you could do is go to your /bin and /usr/bin directories and just look at the different programs listed. In these files you have you commands to start the programs (.exe in Windows).
