Well, I suppose one of the things you could do is to change the "Application" command for the icon. Just right click on the icon "Home", then choose "Properties", then on the command line add the command to Krusader (/usr/bin/krusader).

I'm afraid that from this point on, I can't help. I do not use the programs. Sorry.

Just a guess, but you might try typing update-menus -v in Terminal (also as root).

Install kdepim. It's one of the programs contained in kdepim. Go to System - Configuration - Configure your computer (enter password). In Find, write kdepim, then press Search. You will have a list of programs that you can install. Instead of writing kdepim, you could write multisynk, but search in filenames or descriptions. Then again you will have a list of programs you can install. You can read about each program, before installing it, in the box to the right of the programs listed.

Go to Office - communication -PDA. There you will see an entry "multisynk"!!!

In terminal, I tried to start SuperTux, and this is the result: supertux Warning: Unable to open the file "/home/kieth/.supertux/config" for read!!! Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed) In fact, there is no config file. I have loaded it more than once. Any idea as to why it will not load config? The supertux directory is there, with 2 directories: levels and save.

Open a terminal (esempio: Konsole, XTerm), type su, then type your root password, then type urpmi multisynk (as devries wrote), then press enter. It will download and install the program.

Well, I did it again. I messed up something!! (So what's new? :woops: ) Now, when I try to install a package, which is listed in the MCC, it starts to install, then states that it is already installed. Is there a way to update the package lists that MCC reads on my computer? Thanks. Kieth

Yes, I have pressed the esc key, but nothing helps. I have to always re-set the computer. I removed CUPS, then put it back on - no luck. I would have to re-set the computer at least 3 times to load linux. Yesterday, I finally got "fed" up, and did a clean install, going from 10.1 to Mandrivia 2005. Now everything works. :P I do have another question though. It takes a bit to load portmapper (it always loads though). Is it necessary? Is there a way to make it load faster?

Well, I tried, but it messes up the format in both cases (.ps, .pdf). I suppose that is because I am using a custom sized page format. While googleing, I found the following site about an independent viewer, which might have the answer. Has anyone ever tried it? http://www.indeview.org/

I decided to add a "reply" to this thread one more time (to get it to the top of the list :blush: ), and put in one more plea for help. Everytime I boot up, it stops at where it has to load CUPS. I have to reboot, then press y when it asks if I want an integrity check. Otherwise, it will not start. Even after doing that, at times there are still some difficulties. For instance, this time it did not put the dynamic link for my scanner on my desktop.
