  1. Hi MadKAT,

I read some place that the problem might be related to kernel (2.6.3-7mdk) which came with MDK 10.0. Please, please tell me the procedure how-to get apache version 2.0.48. I tried urpmi update but with no luck. I will really appreciate your help here.

    Thanks

  2. Hello madKAT,

I have also a fresh installed MDK 10, I have apache2 installed, and also webmin. MCC indicates that http is not running. Can you tell me what version of kernel is running on your system ?

The httpd2 does not work and the error_log file says " Function not implemented: mod_rewrite: could not create rewrite_log_lock Configuration Failed "

    Any help will be appreciated.

  4. Hello Steve,

"Sorry. Click 'Webmin Configuration', then 'Upgrade Webmin', then make sure "Latest version from www.webmin.com" is selected and click 'Upgrade Webmin".

I followed the above process to upgrade the webmin but it failed with the following error; "Failed to upgrade from www.webmin.com: Failed to lookup IP address for www.webmin.com" My internet is working because I can reach www.webmin.com by putting it on address location. What do you think?

    Thanks

  6. Hello Tyme,

" then scroll down to the bottom of your XF86Config-4 file and there will be a section regarding which things to load. "

Thanks tyme it worked. Now I can use the mouse to click on the icons. However, three icons; floppy, Hard Disk, Trash and Welcome appear on top of the screen but cannot see the lower bar where web browser, terminal program, and etc are are located at the same time I have to move the cursor up and down on the screen in order to see either the top or bottom icons. I have tried to adjust my screen but no success.

  10. Hello Pzatch

Thanks for your quick reply. The link below is where I downloaded the three disks and burned them to CDs as images. Unfortinately I could not boot from the CD although I changed my bios to 'boot to cdrom. I created boot disk. As far as clocking or the memory chips problem, I have tried it in different Pentium PC and with the same result. I'll try md5sum for error checking. Is the link below ok or is there any better link?
