OK it took me longer thant 3 hours, but at least I see some hope now In my USB setting I changed from usb-uhci to -> usb-ohci after that I already see my scanner. So whats left, wrong sane ? or is the epson driver not correctly installed (epson offers correct drivers together with iscan) In the iscan package there was a file : usr/lib/sane/libsane-epsonkw.so.1.0.6 should I somewhere point to that one ??? No Idea howto go on.

Ill be at home in 3 hurs but have one question meanwhile. How do I make sure my usb card works (it is listed in the device list of 'harddrake'? but does it actually function ?) Also how do I make sure that the kernel scanner modules are loaded ? The power is ON and rebooted also. all cables are in place. The result above is made after reboot. But I'll give another try when I'm home again.

Hi I just bought the epson 1260 photo scanner (usb) and got into trouble. I have downloaded and isntalled the iscan from Epson also. somebody sayd that is doing miracles. Error I get: "coul not send command to scanner". Like if my scanner is not recognized at all. Just thougt that some outputs should help, but I really have now knowledge to undestand them. Can anybody point me to the right direction !!! Kristjan

Are you using wine with Windows or just Wine only. I have Wine Only from 31102002 out of curiousity I tried to make the installation of IE5.0 but failed. havent tried more as have no demand for that.

Dont know about IE, havent tried. But with the wine version that I got from mandrake rpms I had got nothing to work. Copiled another version from Source and wolla... bumm.. works. So maybe just idea for you. try some other version of Wine(X)

Interesting is sometimes to follw the statistics done by major web portals based on the user agent info they get. I have a site my own (small one) and I have one module installed that gathers the user agent info as much as it has made available. According to my site only 74% use Windows. Linux is somewhere round 5-6%.
