    Email server

    > -one pop3 email address at our ISP that must be downloaded and then those emails need to be distributed to the six local clients. Our windoze email server allows us to do this. I know this can and is done everyday in Linux. Use fetchmail or similar to download and inject the message into your SMTP server. >-spam, virus, relay protection for all in and outgoing mail. spam -> Use spamassasin virus -> Clamav relay -> configure properly your Postfix > -have the server keep or archive a copy of every email that is sent and received in case needed See "always_bcc" parameter of postfix. > -give the users access to webmail so they can view their mail from any machine outside the office. Install horde under a https or enable pop3s > -our email clients are Mozilla 1.6 messenger. No matter.
  4. Your problem is that postfix takes the parameter mydestination = $mydomain. Since you are using linux.foo.org as myhostname then mydomain is foo.org. Well, let fix this. Edit main.cf and at insert/modify the line, to: mydestination = $myhostname, localhost That's all folks!
