  1. sorry folks my bad. It was the firewall that prevent me from accessing 8080. Thanks anyway
  2. Hi , I've accidently used drakconf to configure http_proxy but now I don't know how to cancel it. when I use nmap to scan my computer I get this port 8080 open 8080/tcp open http-proxy which is not a good thing as I need to reserve this port for my Tomcat. I wish I could turn off the http-proxy thing so I tried to find out where the http_proxy environment variable is set but could not find it. But apparently it has been set by something. # env |grep -i http http_proxy=http://192.168.0.1 I checked the /etc/init.d to see if any proxy related service is using port 8080 but could not find any clue. Any suggestion? Thank so much.
