  1. So, I installed everything and it all works fine... except for the internet (I'm under XP right now). It connects to the net (Using KPPP), but when I try to load a page, it says that the host does not exist just like if I wasn't connected. The thing is, I HEARD the phone while connecting to the net and the sound was normal, just like if I was connecting in Windows. Any clues ?

  2. [root@localhost alain]# sh apollon-dist.run

    Verifying archive integrity... All good.

Please wait while the Arkollon installer is compiled

This may take a few moments

This is the error I got when I try to compile it. I know that my gift-fast track plug is in : file:/usr/lib/giFT

I know that my gift files are in file:/usr/bin/

  4. Well, the URL I got with xMule doesn't seem to work. Which URL xMule users here are using to get the server list ? Thanx !

  5. What should happen with the 3rd command ? Cause I used it and it only did that :

    [root@localhost bin]# ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_03/bin/java java

    [root@localhost bin]#

I also did that after :

    [root@localhost bin]# updatedb

  6. ''rm java javac jar''

This command doesn't work, and I have the ''j2re-1_4_2_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin'' version.

Well, my MDK 9.2 is in french, but I'll post the error anyway.

rm: ne peut évaluer par lstat() `java': No such file or directory

rm: ne peut évaluer par lstat() `javac': No such file or directory

rm: ne peut évaluer par lstat() `jar': No such file or directory

  7. I tried to compile Limewire and it tells me that I need java. THe fact is that I have installed the java RPM... I don't kno what's wrong. Anyone could help ? Thanks !

  8. Anyone knows if Kazaa-Lite works under Wine ? I tried Gift and it doesn't work too well. I tried to compile Limewire, but it says that I need java, even though I install the RPM of java. I was wondering I could use WINE to use Kazaa-Lite K++ instead of logging into Windows XP each time I want to do some p2p :) Notice that I never reall used WINE. I did only once to try StarCraft under Linux, and it worked without changing a thing so I have no wine experience. Could you guys help me out ? Thanks a lot !

  9. Why not just install the rpm. You won't have to worry about the libraries and path errors and will save you some headaches.

You can find the new gimp in a contribs folder on your favorite mirror:

    follow this path --- /pub/unix/Linux/Mandrake/Mandrake-devel/contrib-stable/i586/

    I don't understand... Where can I find Mdk 9.2 RPMs for GIMP 2.0.0 ?
