I cannot find the driver for CS4205 and just use intel i801 instead. Below is the /etc/modules.conf: alias net-pf-4 ipx alias autofs autofs4 probeall scsi_hostadapter imm ppa alias eth0 3c59x alias sound-slot-0 i810_audio probeall usb-interface usb-uhci But I have problem with i810. You can see my another topic.

It works with either "Radeon" or "Radeon 8500" driver (with 3D accel). I am using the 8500 one without problem. You can try. (I find two other Radeon drivers in the list, "Radeon (fbdev)" and "Radeon (fglrx), but don't know what those are, do anyone can tell me?)

My i810 work with OSS in 10.0 but its sound seems improper and poor. Especially XMMS, it plays few seconds then stops and disappears. Thus, I want to try ALSA. I change the driver from "i810_audio" to "snd-intel8x0" in HardDrake (I think i810_audio is for OSS and snd-intel8x0 is for ALSA) then reboot. When the ALSA driver is activated in startup, it produces a loud non-stop "beep" with high freq. "v" sound. Do someone have the same problem as me? How to solve? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

How to get Cirrus Logic CS4205 work in 10.0, either OSS or ALSA? Thanks.
