  2. If i do a dmsg, it says: usb 1-1:new full speed USB device detected using address 2 prism2usb_init: prism2_usb.o: 0.2.1-pre18a Loaded prism2usb_init: dev_info is: prism2_usb drivers/usb/core/usb.c: registed new driver prism2_usb so it looks like its finding it and loading the module if i do: ifup wlan0 i get: failed no link present what do i do now?
  3. I just put Mandrake 10 on my thinkpad 770Z and ive been having alot of issues getting the sound card to work. yes i know there are threads on this but mine is acting different. The soundcard the laptop has is the Cirrus CS4610 Soundfusion card...which mandrake detects but it doesnt work. I tried using sndconfig --noprobe and it says: "A PCI sound card was found in your system Model: Unknown Vendor|unknown device 1013:6001 is not supported" then snd config exits. One of the sites recomended i try using the sb driver and when changed (through harddrake) I can get sound off a CD perfect but sound from an mp3 or the OS is all garbled. sndconfig reports the same thing with this driver.
  4. Im having problems figuring out if linux is detecting the card...iwconfig doesnt seem to see it
