  1. Hey, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for good software to record TV from my tv tuner card. Ideally I'm looking for something easy to use and set-up, so that my partner can use it too, i.e. no command line stuff;) I know about Mythtv, but I don't really need something that complex (or at least it looks complex to me), as I just want to record one or two shows a week. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. cheers,
  2. Yup I'm using 0.71 and to be honest I can't tell the difference between it and 0.6. Mind you I never had any problems with 0.6 it always worked perfectly for me. Thanks again.
  3. Thanks a lot that seems to have done the job! You just made my day :)
  4. Hi, Since my harddrive just died :( I have just done a fresh install of Mandrake 9.0 and eveything works except mozilla or firebird. This is mozilla 1.4 or 1.5 and firebird .6. All of them freeze as soon as I click in the address bar. If I just click on links on a webpage, i.e the default start page then they work fine. But one click in the address bar and they freeze solid and I have to kill them. Both complained on launch of not being able to find libmozjs.so, even though it is in the directory. I tried linking that to/usr/lib and that allowed them to launch. Mozilla 1.1 works fine, but I don't want to be without firebird. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as its got me well and truly stumped. thanks
  5. Hi This is a GTK Theme switcher that can change your gtk 1.2 themes easily. Is that what you want? (there are 9.0 rpms available, just use urpmi)

    Themes

Hi, The easiest way to install themes is to download them as RPMs. You can get some themes at the PLF under kdemoreartwork. Then they will automatically appear in your KDE cotrol centre. otherwise you normally have to compile them. re: ICQ, There are some good programs that can do ICQ, For example Everybuddy or Gaim are normally considered among the best. hope this helps,
  7. Other openoffice.org dictionaries can be found here http://whiteboard.openoffice.org/lingucomp...lets=31ste85y13 Instructions for using them are also on that page, or you can use the automated installer found here http://ooodi.sourceforge.net/ There is a Canadian dictionary there, but no New Zealand one :(
